Privacy Policy

Last modified: September 15, 2023

G2L Law, LLC (“G2L,” “we,” “our,” or "us") respects your (“you” or “your”) privacy and we are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this privacy policy (“Policy”).

This Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the website www.g2l-law.com ("Website"). This Policy also describes our practices for using, maintaining, sharing, and protecting that information. “Personal Information” means information by which you may be personally identified, whether directly or indirectly, such as name, e-mail address, telephone number, or any other online or offline identifier.

This Policy applies to personal information we collect:

  • on or through the Website; and/or

  • in email, text, and other electronic messages between you and the Website.

This Policy does not apply to information collected by:

  • us separately from the Website, including on any other website operated by G2L; or

  • any third party, including through any products, services, websites, or content that are offered by third parties or that have their own privacy policy, or any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from or on our Website.

Please read this Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not access or use the Website. By accessing or using the Website, you agree to this Policy. This Policy may change from time to time (see the “Changes to Our Privacy Policy” Section below). Your continued use of the Website after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the Policy periodically for updates.

This Policy does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and G2L.

1. Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It.

Personal information that we collect from or about you in relation to the Website includes (a) information you provide to us, (b) information we collect automatically, and (c) information we receive from other sources.

(a) Information You Provide to Us.

The information we collect on or through our Website may include information that you provide by filling in forms on our Website. This includes personal information provided when submitting a comment. If you contact us, we may retain records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses).

(b) Information We Collect Automatically.

As you navigate through and interact with our Website, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including:

  • details of your visits to our Website, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Website; and

  • information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type.

The information we collect automatically on our Website may include personal information, or we may maintain it or associate it with personal information we collect in other ways or receive from third parties. See the “How we Use Your Information” Section below for more, but this helps us to improve our Website, including by enabling us to:

  • estimate our audience size and Website usage patterns;

  • store information about your preferences, potentially enabling us to customize our Website according to your individual interests;

  • speed up your searches; and

  • recognize you when you return to our Website.

The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:

  • cookies (or browser cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. Although most browsers automatically accept cookies, you can typically change your browser options to stop automatically accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting cookies. Please note, however, that if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to access all portions or features of the Website. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our Website may issue cookies when you direct your browser to our Website;

  • web beacons. Pages of our Website may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that enable G2L, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened a related communication and/or to compile other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain website content and verifying system and server integrity). Unlike cookies, which are stored on a user’s hard drive, web beacons are typically embedded invisibly on web pages (or in an email); and

  • other similar data collection tools.

(c) Information We Receive from Other Sources.

We may combine personal information we receive through the Website with personal information we obtain from other sources, including:

  • public sources, such as government agencies, public records, social media platforms, and other publicly available sources;

  • organizations, such as pro bono groups and nonprofits; and/or

  • business partners, such as joint marketing partners and event co-sponsors.

2. How We Use Your Information.

We may use personal information that we collect about you or that you provide to us through the Website for the following purposes:

  • to present our Website and its contents to you;

  • to determine whether to enter into a business relationship with you;

  • to provide you with information or services that you request from us;

  • to keep in contact with you regarding services you receive;

  • to fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it;

  • to carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection purposes;

  • to notify you about changes to our Website or any services we offer or provide though it;

  • to generate and analyze statistical information about how our Website is used;

  • to personalize your experience when using our Website;

  • to investigate security issues, prevent fraud, or combat the illegal or controlled uses of our services;

  • to comply with our obligations under applicable law, legal processes, or government regulations;

  • in any other way we may describe when you provide the information;

  • for other legitimate interests or lawful business purposes; and/or

  • for any other purpose with your consent.

We may also use your personal information to contact you about services that may be of interest to you. For more information, see the “Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information” Section below.

3. How We Share Your Information.

We may disclose information that is not personal information, without restriction.

We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide as described in this Policy:

  • to our affiliates, if any;

  • to contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business, including, for example, those that provide mailing or email services, fraud prevention, web hosting, or analytics services;

  • to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of G2L Law, LLC's assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by G2L Law, LLC about our Website users is among the assets transferred;

  • to fulfill the purpose for which you provide it;

  • for any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information; and/or

  • with your instruction or consent.

We may also disclose your personal information:

  • to comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request;

  • to enforce or apply our Terms of Use (“Terms of Use”) and other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes; and/or

  • if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of G2L, our clients, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

4. Choices About How We Use and Share Your Information.

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your personal information:

  • tracking technologies and advertising. You can typically set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of the Website may then be inaccessible or not function properly;

  • promotional offers from G2L. If you do not wish to have your personal information used by G2L to promote our services, you can opt out by sending us an email stating your request as set forth in the “Contact Information” Section below; and

  • as set forth in the “Your Privacy Rights” Section below.

We do not control third parties' collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising, if any. However such third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. For example, you can opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative ("NAI") on the NAI's website.

5. Your Privacy Rights.

Depending on data protection laws that apply, you may request to:

  • confirm whether and how we process your personal information;

  • access, correct, update, or delete personal information we maintain;

  • receive a portable copy of personal information that we maintain; and/or

  • restrict, limit, object to, or opt out of certain processing of your personal information, including the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information (as such terms may be defined in applicable data protection laws).

If we refuse to take action on such a request, we will provide reasoning as to why. We will respond to requests in a manner that is consistent with applicable data protection laws.

If you wish to exercise any of your rights under applicable data protection laws, including those mentioned above, please reach out to us as set forth in the “Contact Information” Section below. G2L may take certain steps to verify your request using information available to us, including personal information such as your email address, and if needed we may ask you to provide additional information for the purposes of verifying your request. Any information you provide to us for verification purposes will only be used to process and maintain a record of your request and/or to further your request.  You are entitled to exercise the rights described above free from discrimination.

6. Data Security.

We have implemented measures designed to secure your information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although our goal is to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted on or through the Website, and any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures that may be contained on the Website.

7. Retention.

We may store your personal information until you inform us as set forth in the “Contact Information” Section below that you want us to delete your personal information. However, if required by applicable law, we may retain your personal information for such period as may be required by such law. To continue to provide an effective service, we may store your information (including anonymized information) that is not personal information perpetually.

8. Changes to Our Privacy Policy.

It is our policy to post any changes we make to our Policy on this page. If we make material changes to how the Website treats our users’ personal information, we will notify you through a notice on this page. The date the Policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. Changes to this Policy are effective when they are posted on this page. To the extent you choose to provide us with an email address through the Website, you are responsible for ensuring that email address is up-to-date, active, and deliverable. You are also responsible for periodically visiting our Website and this Policy to check for any changes.

9. Third Parties.

The Website may contain links to websites not operated by G2L. Certain third-party service providers may also provide services on the Website. This Policy does not apply to such third-party sites, services, or to information collected by any third party, including through any content that may link to or be accessible from the Website. G2L is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such third parties. For privacy information relating to these other third parties, please consult their privacy policies as appropriate.

10. Children Under the Age of 18.

Our Website is not intended for children under 18 years of age. No one under age 18 may provide any information to or on the Website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are under 18, do not use or provide any information on the Website or on or through any of its features. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
